Rationale for the Concentration Area

This concentration in Language Arts provides the opportunity to explore in depth the theory and content of the study of literature, writing, and language.  Courses selected from these disciplines for the concentration are particularly related to content, issues, and concerns of the elementary classroom.

           ENG 285, Introduction to Creative Writing (3)
           *ENG 401, Concentration Seminar (3)
           *Must be taken after ENG 311
