Master of Arts in Education (MAE) in Elementary Education

 

The MAE in Elementary Education is designed to provide expertise for the master teacher in a 9-12 semester hour focus area of the candidate's choice.  The degree does not meet all standards for an initial teaching license.  In-service elementary teachers may select focus areas in:

Applied Early Childhood Practices 

Applied Classroom Practices 

Reading 

High Ability License 

Certificate Program in Elementary Mathematics Teacher Leadership 

Educational Technology 

 

Additional Focus area:  Required Undergraduate Major:  Ball State University BS/BA in Special Education Teaching Major in Exceptional Needs, Mild Intreventions:

Elementary Education License (Rules 2002)

All candidates for the MAE in Elementary Education must first be admitted to the Ball State University Graduate School before being admitted to the MAE programs.
