Reading Clinic

The Clinic's Purpose

The Reading Clinic is the agency on the Ball State University campus designed to work with individuals who are having reading difficulties. The Clinic is operated through the Department of Elementary Education.

The dual purpose of the clinic is to provide literacy assessment and instruction for elementary and secondary students while providing opportunities for Ball State students to develop their knowledge and skills as teachers of reading and writing.

Clinicians, who are supervised by faculty members in the Department of Elementary Education, attempt to provide those with reading problems a high level of professional service. Since the ability to serve clients depends on the availability of University students, the clinic is limited in the number of cases which can be handled each semester.
