The Department of Elementary Education
Reading Resource Center

The Reading Program Area of Elementary Education maintains a Reading Resource Center to provide teacher education majors with instructional materials and resources to use in their various practicum experiences. Although the center is primarily used by Elementary Education students taking corrective or developmental reading classes, students will also find instructional materials for middle school literacy education and supplies for creating classroom bulletin boards or displays. This year, thanks in part to the Middle School Reading Network initiative, the center has taken steps to become a resource for middle school reading teachers with the opening of its Middle School Literacy Clearinghouse (MSLC).There is a charge for using materials and to check out materials, you need a valid BSU ID.   The hours change each semester because of staffing, but it is our intention is to have the center open as much as possible.  If you have questions about using any of the materials, please contact Dr. Diane Bottomley at dbottomley@bsu.edu
