rGrade and CoSN
Even though this assessment process is not finalized I feel that the use of rGrade in the classroom can be taught to a lot of the public, teachers, and administration. It is a program that is able to set up rubrics while also showing the students what they will be graded on. I have not used a lot of rGrade but from what has been used towards me it not only helps me out knowing what I need to accomplish for each project.
Yes, I know that many schools and or teachers do not like using rubrics due to the students accomplishing just what is asked for and no further. To a certain extent I agree but this program is just not based on rubrics. You and grade a student by different levels that you assign to their progress.
I really do feel that this program/tool can enhance teaching and learning because no only will teachers be organized and know what they are looking for but the students will be able to see what the teacher is looking for. I again am not sure but if the administration was able to access this program off of what the teachers are doing on it, it will also be like turning in lesson plans and the Principal will be able to see what the teacher is doing in his or her classroom.
