Welcome to Class!

Multimedia is a business course that provides students with the opportunity to learn different types of software that would allow them to produce multimedia projects using technologies such as a digital camera, scanner, video and the Internet. Students will become familiar with a variety of software applications and emerging technologies. Instructional strategies may include computer/technology applications, teacher demonstration, problem solving, critical thinking, independent study, and school/community projects.

  • Fireworks MX 2004
  • Movie Maker/Pinnacle
  • Desktop Publishing
  • Content Management Systems
Students will be given a demonstration of the capabilities of each program, and then will be assigned a project to complete using that program. Students will be provided with guidelines to follow and a rubric for each project.

Nine-Week Grades/Final Exam:

1st and 2nd nine weeks:

Grades for each grading period will be based on total points earned on assignments, divided by total points possible. Points will be from daily journals and completed projects. Late Assignments will only be accepted for half credit. You can view your grades and weekly lesson plans for class on the STI link on this page. You need to have a username and password to access your STI account.

Final Exam:

The final exam will be an electronic portfolio that will showcase all the projects that you completed throughout the semester.

Semester grade
  • 40%=1st nine weeks grade
  • 40%=2nd nine weeks grade
  • 20%=Semester exam
