Two foci direct her research with respect to curriculum studies: 1) teacher identity and beliefs in relation to classroom practices, pedagogy, and curriculum, and 2) the development of curriculum and pedagogical practices that sustain democratic communities. She has published in The Journal of Curriculum Theorizing, Teaching and Teacher Education, Reflective Practice, Teachers & Teaching Theory and Practice, and Race, Ethnicity, and Education. She is co-editor of Curriculum and the Cultural Body, Peter Lang (2007). Prior to coming to Ball State she was an Associate Professor of Educational Leadership at The Pennsylvania State University.
