Secondary Education
The secondary education program prepares you to teach in senior high, junior high, and middle schools. You will complete general studies requirements, required courses in your subject area, and a series of professional education courses.For admission to Teaching Curriculum, you must have:

 

  • Earned grades of C or better in EDSEC 150 and  EDMUL 205
  • Earned a minimum of 45 credit hours with an overall grade-point average of at least 2.5
  • Passed all sections of the PPST (Pre-Professional Skills Test)

 

You must receive Admission to Teaching Curriculum before you may register for 300- or 400-level classes. To receive Admission to Teaching Curriculum go to TC 829.
