Barbara's Challenge Grant
Barbara Rothlisberg has challenged the department to raise money for Kenya Lunch Program.  She will match all donations up to $250 dollars, so make her pay!!!  Please see Penny with your donations by the end of April.  
 
Departmental Faculty Meeting
There is a departmental faculty meeting on Wednesday, April 1st from noon-1:30 pm in TC 217. Please check your email this evening for the agenda. We have a full agenda for this meeting, but if you have anything you would like to discuss please let me know.
 
EDPSY Core Meeting
The EDPSY Core will meet Wednesday, April 1st from 10:00-11:00 am in TC 518A.  Please check your email for the agenda.

Independent Learning Graduate Courses and Graduate Certificates
This is a reminder to respond to Kathryn Fletcher's (our GEC representative) note regarding the possibility of offering independent learning graduate courses. Also, please think about series of courses we could offer as certificate programs for graduate students.  Certificate programs are not alternative to degrees and do not guarantee admission to any graduate programs, however if a student is admitted the course work could be applied.
 
Dean's Discretionary Fund
If you are interested in being considered for Dean's Discretionary Funds, you must send Dean Weaver a letter electronically NO LATER THAN Wednesday, April 15 not to exceed 3 pages, single spaced, 12 pt., Times font.  As specifically and as concisely as possible, make your case.  Please refer to his email for criteria.  However, do keep in mind there is no guarantee that this money or money for merit will be available this year.
