Ph.D. School Psychology Interview Day
Today the Advanced Graduate Committee in conjunction wit the School Psychology Core is holding an interview day School Psychology Doctoral applicants. The interview process is going well this morning and we have 14 visitors today.  Thank you to David McIntosh and Barbara Rothlisberg for organizing/coordinating the interviews.

Tracy Cross
As most of you have read by now Tracy Cross has announced he is retiring from Ball State University at the end of the year and will become an endowed chair and the Jody and Layton Smith Professor of Psychology and Gifted Education at the College of William and Mary.  Additionally, he will become the Executive Director of the Center for Gifted Education.  I know each of us will be sorry to see Tracy leave BSU, however I also know we each wish him great success in his new endeavors.  Also, please be sure to thank Tracy for all of his hard work establishing our Ph.D. In Educational Psychology program.

Kudos
Andrew Davis, Ray Dean, and Holmes Finch
had the manuscript "Factor invariance assessment of the Dean Woodcock Sensory Motor Battery for patients with ADHD versus non-clinical subjects" accepted by the journal Educational and Psychological Measurement.

Carrie Ball passed her Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology exam. This is a major hurdle on the way to licensure as a psychologist and shows Carrie's knowledge of psychology!

AAIR Summer Assessment Grants
The Office of Academic Assessment and Institutional Research once again has funding available for summer assessment projects that support the Goals and Objectives found in the University Strategic Plan, 2007-2012. Funding priority will be given to two types of initiatives:  (1) those that address the development, refinement, or assessment of objectives related to departmental student learning outcomes or (2) those that deal with data gathering and analysis needed for programmatic/departmental/collegiate accreditation. The deadline is March 30, 2009.  I have copies of the RFP if you are interested.

Merit Completion
While there is no guarantee of monies for merit salary increases it is important to complete your merit document.  This is due to me by Monday, March 9th.  On a related note I am not sure if there will be Dean's Discretionary Money or what our pay raises will look like.

I hope I have not forgotten anything, but if I have please let me know.

Here is to a great week!
