MA/EdS School Psychology Visitation Day
You all should have received an email from Linda Jones regarding the upcoming Visitation Day on Monday, February 23rd from 9:00am to 4:00pm, for the MA/EDS applicants.  This is a new format for the School Psychology program that we want to be successful, so please try to make yourself available to direct any lost looking students or answer any questions.

Ph.D. School Psychology Interview Day
The Advanced Graduate Committee in conjunction wit the School Psychology Core will be holding an interview day on Monday, March 2nd, for the School Psychology Doctoral applicants. The interview process is another new procedure and one encouraged by APA.  Please keep an eye out for details, which will be forthcoming from David McIntosh.

AGS Committee Meeting
The AGS committee will be meeting tomorrow, Wednesday February 18th at 10:00am to review Ph.D. Educational Psychology applicants.  Files are available for review in Linda Jones office.

Educational Psychology Core Meeting
The first meeting of the Educational Psychology Core committee occurred last week.  There was much discussion and suggestions about curricular changes to both the MA and Ph.D programs.  Now that both School Psychology and Educational Psychology have cores committees there is an increased need to share information that impacts both programs.  To this end core meeting minutes will be shared via an email to all tenure-track faculty.  You will receive the first set later this afternoon.  If you have any concerns with the minutes you may contact me or any of the members of the core committees.

Ph.D. in Educational Psychology Directorship
Tracy Cross
has announced he will be stepping down as director of the Ph.D. in Educational Psychology Program in the near future.  Once this action is official I will work in conjunction with administration to appoint a new director quickly.  Please be sure to thank Tracy for all of his hard work establishing this great program.

Merit Completion
While there is no guarantee of monies for merit salary increases it is important to complete your merit document.  This is due to me by Monday, March 9th.  On a related note I am not sure if there will be Dean's Discretionary Money or what our pay raises will look like.

Summer Teaching
Many of you have been asking about summer teaching.  Penny does have a list of on-campus courses available along with current enrollments.  In light of the budget cuts only course that make well over the minimum (6 grads or 10 undergrads) are going to be taught.  Some courses for online teaching are an option, as well.  If you have ideas about online teaching please let me know and we will see what can be done.  However, do keep in mind the most senior tenured or tenure track faculty have the first opportunity to summer courses.

I hope I have not forgotten anything, but if I have please let me know.

Here is to a great week!
