Felicia Dixon's Retirement Reception
Don't forget Felicia Dixon's retirement reception Thursday, May 1st between 3:00 – 5:00pm at the EB Ball and Bertha C Center.  We will be having wine, cheese, and assortment of other appetizers.

Service on Faculty Council and Senate Service for Fall Semester
Kristie Speirs-Neumeister
is in need of someone to serve as her replacement on the Senate and Faculty Council this fall while on maternity leave.  If you are willing to serve and attend a monthly meeting (in the late afternoons), please let Kristie know as soon as possible.

Faculty Meeting
I want to thank everyone for participating in the faculty meeting last week.  I think we covered a lot of ground and the minutes will be in your mailboxes today.

School Psychology Core Faculty Retreat
The School Psychology Core including our new school psychology faculty member Carrie Ball will be meeting to discuss program issues, policies, and perform the yearly student review in a daylong retreat at the EB Ball Center on Tuesday, April 29 (9am-5pm).

Higher Learning Commission
From the Provost's Office and Marilyn Buck ball December 2008 all programs (graduate, undergraduate, and minors) will need to have

a.   Student learning outcomes identified
b.   Assessments created
c.   Person(s) responsible

This means our Minor, MA and PhD in EDPSY will have to do something similar to all of our other programs/licensure areas and track student progress. The MA, EdS, and PhD in School Psychology will be able to use rGrade data for report.  Our other program areas will be invited to meetings next month to discuss HLC requirements.

UCC-21
The final version of instructions and material needed to propose courses for the new University Core Curriculum (UCC-21) are available.  I believe there is room to incorporate several of our undergraduate courses in the core curriculum (including EDPSY 270, 360, and 370).  I have placed the relevant paperwork in your mailboxes.  In the next few weeks I will meet with relevant faculty about this process.

I hope I have not forgotten anything, but if I have please let me know.

Here is to a great week!
