The Upper Wabash Valley School Study Council (UWVSSC) is an organization of 22 school corporations along with corporate sponsor, Dave Corner, NORESCO. UWVSSC is located in the North-Central Indiana counties of Allen, Adams, Wells, Whitley, Cass, Wabash, Huntington, and Miami.
Membership
Membership in the UWVSSC consists of those public school systems which subscribe to the purposes of the Council, wish to share in its activities, and pay dues. Membership is open at any time to public school systems in the Indiana counties of Allen, Adams, Wells, Whitley, Cass, Wabash, Huntington, and Miami. Ball State University is an associate member and the sponsoring institution.
Governed By
UWVSSC is governed by the following officers elected annually: Chair, Vice Chair, and Treasurer. The Executive Secretary, who is a member of the Ball State University faculty, is appointed annually by the Council. Each officer, with the exception of the Executive Secretary, is the Chief Administrative Officer of a member school system.
Meetings
Council meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at Huntington University in Huntingon, Indiana. The meeting venue is the Habecker Dining Hall, with coffee and conversation from 9:30-10:00 a.m with the business meeting running from 10:00 to noon.
