Dr. Richard Ebeling is an outspoken advocate of free markets and constitutionally limited government. Formerly Ludwig von Mises Professor of Economics at Hillsdale College, Richard has edited and written numerous books and articles. He is a passionate speaker, lecturing widely in the United States, Europe and Latin America, and appearing on radio and TV talk shows. In 1991 he put his principles into action as he (together with his wife Anna) joined the defenders of freedom and faced the Soviet tanks in Moscow, Russia, during the attempted hard-line communist coup d'etat. In 2003 Richard Ebeling was named the President of the Foundation for Economic Education. He and Anna, and their chocolate Labrador "Ludwig von Mises IV," live in Irvington, New York. They have a daughter3 and three grandchildren.

Dr. Manuel F. Ayau is the founder, former rector, and professor of economics at Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala, regarded as one of Latin America's finest universities. In addition to being a successful businessman, Ayau is a former chairman of the Guatemala Stock Exchange, a former member of the board of trustees of the Foundation for Economic Education, and former president of the prestigious Mont Pelerin Society. After meeting him in 1979, Ronald Reagan described Ayau as "one of the few people in the high political sphere who understands what is going on in Latin America."

Doug Bandow is widely regarded as one of America's most incisive observers of current events. He has been widely published in leading newspapers such as the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times, as well as several periodicals, including Time, Newsweek, and Fortune. He speaks and writes on such diverse topics as foreign aid, religion, environmental protection, and education, and has appeared on scores of national television programs, from e to Crossfire to Oprah. Doug is an adjunct scholar at FEE.

Dr. Anna Ebeling was born, raised, and educated in the former Soviet Union. Living in what Ronald Reagan called "the evil empire," she experienced firsthand the reality ofe "the collectivist paradise." Her stories of fear and the absurdities of everyday life, education, and health care in the communist utopia are many. Formerly an adjunct professor at Hillsdale College, Anna joined the staff of FEE in 2003 as a researcher and lecturer. Her lectures on the history of freedom and tyranny are very popular with FEE audiences.
