Mark Myring

Mark Myring joined the Ball State accounting faculty in 2000. His current research focuses on the use of accounting information and analysts' forecasts for security valuation in U.S. and international capital markets and the accounting standard setting process in both the U.S. and emerging economies. His work has been published in academic accounting journals and presented at academic conferences. Dr. Myring teaches financial accounting at the undergraduate and graduate level. He is currently a member of the AAA, Beta Gamma Sigma, Beta Alpha Psi, and the IMA.

Accomplishments

  • Published numerous articles in high-quality journals, including Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Business, Finance and Accounting and International Journal of Accounting
  • Has served as reviewer for multiple academic journals.
  • Holds leadership positions in the International Accounting Section of the American Accounting Association.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administation from John Carroll University in 1995.
  • Master's of business administration from Kent State University in 1999.
  • Doctorate degree in business administration from Kent State University in 2000.
