
David McIntosh
David McIntosh is nationally recognized for his work in the areas of assessment, disruptive behavioral disorders, and parent behavioral management training. He developed a specialty in the identification, assessment, and treatment of autism spectrum disorders. He is the Director of the Psychoeducational, Diagnostic, and Intervention Clinic, which is jointly administered by the Departments of Special Education and Educational Psychology.
Accomplishments
- Published over 50 articles in top tier journals. He has over 80 presentations at international, national, and state conferences.
- Serves as Editor-in-Chief of Psychology in the Schools. Psychology in the Schools is an interdisciplinary journal with over 2,000 institutional memberships and publishes 10 issues a year.
- Since 2001, he has brought over $1 million to Ball State University through partnerships with local school districts.
- Served or has served on the editorial boards for the Journal of Psychoeducational Assessment, School Psychology Quarterly, and Journal of Early Childhood and Infant Psychology.
- He is Board Certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology and a Fellow of the American Academy of School Psychology.

- Bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology from Hanover College.
- Master's, Educational Specialist, and Ph.D. in school psychology, Ball State University.
