Robert Palmer
Students come from across the United States and many foreign countries to study with Robert Palmer. He was the Indiana Music Teacher of the Year in 1998.

  • An international Steinway artist, Palmer's career has spanned three continents with  performances throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.
  • Made his Carnegie Hall debut in 1979 and has since performed in more than 30 states. His seven tours of the Far East have included performances and master classes in major centers ranging from Osaka, Seoul and Shanghai to Taipei and Tokyo.
  • Appeared on National Public Radio and public television.
  • Performed as a chamber musician with the Paris Conservatoire, Metropolitan Opera Company and St. Paul Chamber Orchestra.
  • Member of Ball State's acclaimed American Piano Trio.
  • Awarded the Joanna Hodges International Piano Competition and the U.S. Information Agency National Piano Competition.

  • Master's degree from the Peabody Conservatory.
  • Doctoral degree from the University of Minnesota.
