Ramon Avila
Ramon Avila's teaching focuses on industrial marketing and professional selling and sales management. He established Ball State's H. H. Gregg Center for Professional Selling, which has received national recognition.

Accomplishments

  • Serves as a consultant and has worked with major corporations such as American National Bank, John Deere, Indiana Bell, Indiana Energy, Indiana Michigan Power, Lees Inn, and Star Bank.
  • Published writer and researcher in many journals, including the Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, the Journal of Marketing Management, and the Journal of Financial Planning.
  • Serves on the editorial review boards of five business-related journals
    Received the Mu Kappa Tau Award for Outstanding Contributor to the Sales Profession.
  • Served as program chair for the National Conference in Sales Management.

  • Bachelor's degree and M.B.A. from Ball State University.
  • Ph.D. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
