Blackboard and E-mail Help
Blackboard is a course management system that allows instructors to easily create online sites to deliver course materials, facilitate communication, and develop online testing and grading systems.

Mediasite Classes
Mediasite is the tool used for recording classroom lectures and making them available to students enrolled in the distance education section of the class. Students can view the campus lectures as a live stream or as an archive online. To find out if your computer is cable of viewing a Mediasite class, view a sample presentation that was recorded in Mediasite (click the "Introduction to Mediasite" link in the left-hand column).

Web Conferencing Classes
Courses that are available via Web conferencing are offered statewide by IHETS Interactive, a Web conferencing system that utilizes Macromedia Breeze software. These courses are taught live on our main campus in Muncie and are simultaneously video streamed through the Internet to your home or office computer. Students must have a high-speed Internet connection, such as DSL, cable, or a T1 line, to view these classes.

Independent Learning Classes
Students need reliable access to the Internet and a computer in order to take either the 9-month or the 10-week classes. Independent Learning Program courses utilize Blackboard and Mediasite clips.
