
Bio for Dr. Alan Richardson
Professor of Telecommunications, joined the TCOM faculty in 1983. His baccalaureate is from The Ohio State University, his M.A. from the University of Michigan and his doctorate is in Mass Communication from Ohio University. Previously he taught at Western Illinois, the State University College at Buffalo (N.Y.), and Southern Illinois University. Dr. Richardson was hired to launch and teach in a Corporate Media sequence which has evolved into the Multimedia sequence. He also teaches Broadcast Law, among other assignments. He has worked in production in both public and commercial television and in public radio. He has sold time for radio and has worked as a consultant in corporate media for numerous employers including Caterpillar Tractor, General Motors, and several federal agencies. Dr. Richardson is currently the Chairman of the Muncie Cable Television Commission and President of the Media Communication Association – International.
