Mr. Johnson is a graduate of Indiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in criminology and is a 17-year veteran of law enforcement. He is currently an Indianapolis Metropolitan police officer assigned to the Indiana Intelligence Fusion Center and serves as the IIFC’s statewide liaison commander. He began his career in policing in 1991 as an officer for the Elkhart, Indiana, Police Department and he is a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
Mr. Johnson is also a 20-year veteran of the Army Reserve. He currently holds the rank of major and is a graduate of the Armor Officer’s Basic and Advanced Courses; Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Defense School; Combined Arms Service and Staff School, the Civil Affairs Qualification Course and both the Air Command and Staff College and the Command and General Staff College. He led a four-man Civil Affairs team in support of the 3rd Special Forces Group in Eastern Afghanistan and was awarded the Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal and the Combat Action Badge for actions under hostile fire while engaging elements of al-Qaeda and the Taliban. Doug is currently a master’s candidate studying strategic intelligence and serves as a counter-intelligence officer for the US European Command
