Mr. Bennett graduated Cum Laude with an Engineering degree from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 1980.  He started his 27 year telecommunications career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1981 and held numerous line and staff positions in Southwestern Bell and SBC in St. Louis, Washington, D.C., and Dallas until 1997 when he moved to SBC Wireless.  From 1997 thru 2004, Mr. Bennett held several high-level External Affairs positions for SBC Wireless and Cingular Wireless within the state and federal regulatory and legislative arenas.  For the past 3 1/2 years, he has been responsible for all consumer-related relationships and advocacy for AT&T Mobility, with consumer groups, third parties, state and federal government officials, industry analysts, and local and national media.
