Cullen has worked in the Smithville family of companies since graduating from Indiana University in 1995. Along with his present position as Vice President, Cullen holds the position of President of Smithville Digital and President of Smithville Telecom. Cullen’s responsibilities include the launch of Internet service in 1996 and the optical networking division for Smithville Digital in 2004.
Cullen has recently been elected to the board of directors of the Organization for the Promotion and Advancement of Small Telecommunications Companies (OPASTCO), taking on points of national telecom consumer purpose. He is a steadfast grassroots loyalist on insuring competitive quality Broadband for rural areas of the country.
Smithville Telephone, long considered a progressive advocate of rural telecommunication issues both in Indiana and the nation, is among a handful of firms who are willing to come face to face with our nation’s leaders to make sure they fully understand how their decisions will directly impact the farmer, the small rural business owner and the families who live miles from their schools, shopping centers and even their neighbors.
