Below is an alphabetical listing of presenters:

Jessica Coffin is a master’s candidate for the Center for Information and Communication Sciences at Ball State University. During her masters studies, Ms. Coffin served as a graduate assistant for the Center for Media Design. One of her more recent projects with the CMD includes a $3.5 million dollar “Video Consumer Mapping” study with Sequent and Nielsen. The project has been recently released to the public.

Rick Glass is beginning his fourth year of teaching fourth grade at Harrison Elementary School in Warsaw, Indiana. He earned a B.S. in Communications from Grace College, Winona Lake, Indiana in 1994 and a B. S. in Elementary Education from Grace in the fall of 2005. He is working on a masters degree in Curriculum and Educational Technology at Ball State University. He was named the Elementary Education Teacher of the Year at Grace College during the 2005-2006 school year and was nominated as Teacher of the Year for the Warsaw Community School Corporation in the spring of 2008.

Ron Kovac is Professor of Information and Communication Sciences at Ball State University. Dr. Kovac directs the Cisco Networking Academy programs in K-12 schools.

Megan Noel is a Kindergarten teacher at the Warren Township Early Childhood Center in Indianapolis. She holds a masters degree in educational leadership and is currently pursuing a PhD in elementary education at Ball State University. Ms. Noel’s research interests are focused on the effects of poverty on early childhood education. She has lead professional workshops on rGrade for K-12 teachers.

Kenton Smith is Web Systems Coordinator at Westfield Washington School (WWS) District in Westfield, Indiana. He is working on a masters degree in Curriculum and Educational Technology at Ball State University. Mr. Smith has lead the development of integrated instructional and content systems for the district. He is currently leading a WWS professional development program focused on digital media, online learning, and 1:1 computing.

Matthew Stuve is Director of the Center for Technology in Education (CTE) and Associate Professor of Educational Technology in the Department of Educational Studies in Teachers College. Dr. Stuve is principal investigator for rGrade and co-directs the EPIC project.

Laura Suero is a master’s candidate and graduate assistant for the Center for Information and Communication Sciences at Ball State University. Ms. Suero completed previous studies in Business Administration and Marketing. As part of her master’s program and assistantship, Ms. Suero is currently working for the Cisco Area Training Center, providing support and training to the Networking Academies in the state of Indiana. Past working experiences include positions in the areas of operations and logistics, customer services, sales and finances.

Eric Wheetley is Senior Systems Engineer for Apple Inc. and supports K-12 schools in Indiana.

Gari Williams was formerly an English teacher at the Key Learning Community in Indianapolis. Starting in the Fall of 2009, she will join the faculty at Broad Ripple High School in Indianapolis, a performing and visual arts magnate school. While at Key, Ms. Williams lead the development of common assessments as part of Key’s participation in Ball State’s EPIC project.
