On March 24, and 25, 2010, from 4 to 5 PM, the CTE will
host a forum on program assessment with rGrade. Each
forum is open to anyone wanted to learn more about how
rGrade can be helpful in assessment planning and the
realization of those plans in everyday instruction.
Today’s children are growing up in a digital
world. Teachers and schools are pivotal in shaping how
children grow and learn with digital technologies and
emerging media. The Center for Technology in Education
(CTE), Building Better Communities (BBC), and the
Educational Technology (EDTEC) program in Teachers
College are offering a series of workshops from January

Using new Web 2.0 technologies, today’s digital
natives have new ways to construct portfolios as
narratives of their academic growth. The Ball State
teacher education portfolio model has evolved since
2002 to now incorporate Web 2.0 techniques within a

The CTE co-wrote four proposals for the Emerging Media
Initiative (EMI). Two projects made it through the
first round of proposals. One with Dr. Sheron
Fraser-Burgess in the Department of Educational Studies
made it through the second round and was funded for
