Project/Client/Apprentice Selection
- If a project is course-based, the course instructor defines the requirements, assessments, and deliverables. In such cases, the CTE IDEA staff are facilitators who work in concert with the instructor.
- If a project is NOT course-based, the CTE IDEA staff will coordinate the deliverables with the client and mentors. These opportunities are meant for personal/professional benefit.
Project Management
Once projects have been selected by and/or assigned to apprentices, they will be managed as a separate thread the in the Project Management Forum. IDEA staff will monitor the online forums and respond to questions. Apprentices are expected to provide periodic updates.
Utilizing the iStudio Staff and IDEA Community
Apprentices are expected to use the iStudio for project development and resources. The iStudio staff are ready to help with access to resources. This can be in-person or online support via the community of other apprentices or other mentors.
Assessment, Evaluation and Documentation
- If a project is course-based, the course instructor defines the, assessments, and deliverables. The instructor may choose to use rubrics provided for non-course IDEA projects. Course-based projects will not be assessed or reviewed by the IDEA staff.
- If a project is NOT course-based, a review of the apprentice’s performance will be conducted to document his or her completion of the project. Feedback will be sought from the client. Such projects will have no bearing on the student’s academic progress. t.
