The mission of the Center for Technology in Education (CTE)
is to advance school technology infrastructures, teaching
practices, and curriculum through research, development,
and outreach initiatives that are incubated in Teachers
College, transformed to professional services, and
catalyzed in schools. This mission will be served through
the following goals:
- Engage educators in shared inquiry and discovery
- Develop and promote professional development
opportunities
- Conduct and disseminate research
- Facilitate innovative applications of emerging
technologies
- Inform technology policy for schools and the teaching
profession
- Evaluate technology needs and innovations in P-12
schools
