Through the Safe and Stable Families Act, federal money was released to states to help assist youth who were in foster care with post-secondary education options. The Indiana Education and Training Voucher Program offers up to $5,000 a year in assistance for youth enrolled in colleges, universities and other training programs. The funds may be used for tuition, books or qualified living expenses. These funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis to students out of the Indiana foster care system.
