Graduate assistants work 20 hours per week for the department in exchange for a monetary stipend and tuition wavers.
The computer science department hires about ten graduate teaching assistants and another three research assistants each year. Graduate assistants in the computer science department may work in computer labs, tutor undergraduate students, grade papers, and assist faculty with research.
