Facilities in the computer science department and throughout campus provide students with access to powerful new technology. More information about campus-wide technology is available through the links at the right.
Computer Science Department Facilities
The CS departmental open lab in Robert Bell Building Room 369 is equipped with:
- 18 Gateway Pentium IV 2.8 Ghz computers running Windows XP Professional/ Service Pack 2
- 750M zip drives
- USB slots for flash drives
- CD burners
- Flat panel monitors
- Two Hewlett Packard Laserjet 5M printers
- A Hewlett Packard scanner
The open hours are posted outside the door of the lab. The hours are:
- Monday, Tuesday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Thursday: 9 am.m to 5 p.m.
- Wednesday and Friday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Other closed labs and classroom labs have similar equipment, as well as Unix and Linux operating systems. RB 356 is a closed classroom lab with SunRay computers. These computers allow undergraduate students to create graphics and video with more speed and memory available to them, among other uses for their classwork.
