Topics include error analysis, locating roots of equations, interpolation, numerical differentiation and integration, spline functions, and smoothing of data. Includes programming of numerical algorithms. Prerequisite: MATHS 162 or 166; and MATHS 159 or CS 120; or permission of the department chairperson.
