Faculty members Paul Gestwicki, Fu-Shing Sun, and Paul Buis attended the midwest meeting of the Consortium for Computing Science in Colleges (CCSC) at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. They accompanied 7 undergraduates. While there the programming team of Ashely Keith, Josh Gevirtz, and Alex Corn took second place in the programming contest. The contest included 13 teams from 10 institutions. Two other teams from Ball State also did well in the contest. Undergraduate research by two groups of students was presented in a poster session. Paul Gestwicki also presented a paper and gave a tutorial on the use of game programming as a means of teaching design patterns.
