Counseling Psychology
Doctoral Program Admission Requirements
The doctoral program in counseling psychology has a selective admissions policy. Ten students per year are accepted into the program. The department prefers candidates who have strong backgrounds in psychology and work experience related to counseling psychology.

Candidates may hold a bachelor's or master's degree. A major in psychology is preferred for bachelor's-level applicants, but not required. Master's-level applicants must have majored in counseling, counseling and guidance, psychology, educational or school psychology, clinical psychology, social work, or a related subject.
