Deadline: All application materials must be postmarked by December 15.
Candidates interested in applying to the doctoral program in counseling psychology must apply to both the Graduate School and the Department of Counseling Psychology and Guidance Services.
Detailed information on how to apply to the Graduate School is available on their Web site. You are encouraged to submit your application materials to the Graduate School several weeks before the December 15 deadline to allow time for processing of the application.
In addition to the application you submit to the Graduate School, you must complete an application packet for the Department of Counseling Psychology and Guidance Services including:
- The departmental application form. This form is included in the application packet. The following documents must be attached to the application form. Applications without these documents will be considered incomplete.
- brief autobiography
- vita
- matching interest form.
- Three letters of recommendation. Use the recommendation forms included in the application packet

Tentative Timetable for Review of Materials
- Initial Screening: Early January
- Notification of admission status: Late January
- Interviews: Early February
Candidates will begin the program in August; assistantships begin in August as well.
