The theme of the Great Lakes 2009 Regional Conference, From Results to Action: Applying Research on Diversity, is consistent with the current movement in the field of Counseling Psychology to incorporate multicultural and diversity research in a variety of ways. This conference is part of a larger movement to answer the call for the application of diversity research in practice (Smith, in press), in counselor training (Hays, 2008), and in counselor supervision (Page, 2003). Proposals are encouraged to explore this theme.
