Juli Eflin is Chair of the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies. Her undergraduate degree is from The Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Her Ph.D. is from the University of Washington. She is a professor of philosophy with specialties in epistemology and the philosophy of science. She publishes in both of these areas as well as in issues of pedagogy. Her current research is in “virtue epistemology,” where the questions focus on the development of intellectual habits needed to reach understanding. Dr. Eflin teaches Introduction to Philosophy (PHIL 100), Logic (PHIL 200), Philosophy of Science (PHIL 313), and the capstone course in philosophy, Epistemology (PHIL 410).
