SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Analyzing and Presenting Complex Data
DESCRIPTION:How do you use data to convey a message in a report or presentation? How do you seek out relevant data and analyze complex information to determine the important elements of a problem? In other words, how do you make order out of informational chaos? During this session, Dr. Dagney Faulk, Director of Research at the Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER), will discuss types of data and basic analytical methods, primarily focusing on descriptive statistics. She will demonstrate the data analysis toolpack in Excel and resources at Ball State for data analysis. Plus, Victoria Meldrum, Publications Specialist at the Center for Business and Economic Research, will demonstrate Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite options to display complex data as visually appealing and straightforward infographics. At the end of this session there will be an open discussion period for you to consult with our presenters about your projects.
