An economic history of America since the Civil War; subjects usually include: the post-Civil War South, money and banking, the Great Depression and the New Deal, urbanization, diseases, demographics, the environment and ecology, developments in transport, industry and agriculture, labor, and the impact of conflicts. Prerequisite: ECON 116 or 201.
