CS 636 - Advanced Database Systems.

Topics include knowledge representation and ontology concepts, object database concepts, database security and authorization, distributed databases, client-server architectures, Internet databases, and emerging database technologies and applications. Programming of both database techniques and application servers is based on current technologies such as ORACLE. Prerequisite: CS 334 or 534 or 436 or 536 or permission of the instructor.
