MUST 414 - Jazz Arranging

The study and analysis of arranging techniques used in commercial music. Emphasizes conventional and stylized conceptions of writing in commercial idioms with particular attention given to the composer-arranger in the recording-studio environment. Prerequisite: MUST 311 (MUST 212 for composition majors); permission of the instructor.
