MATH 571 - Real Analysis 1

Properties of the real numbers. Cardinality. Topological properties of metric spaces: compactness, completeness, connectedness. Sequences and series. Continuous functions. Differential calculus of real- and vector- valued functions of one real variable. Prerequisite: MATH 215, 267; or permission of the department chairperson. Not open to students who have credit in MATH 471.
