GEOL 471 - Volcanology and Volc Hazards
Designed to give middle- and upper-level students a working knowledge of the causes and effects of the various types of volcanism ranging from quiescent Hawaiian-style volcanoes to the explosive SW Pacific volcanoes. In addition, looks at volcanic prediction, monitoring, and hazard response programs. Prerequisite: GEOL 201 or permission of the department chairperson.
