GEOL 425 - Geophysics
An introduction to refraction and reflection seismology; magnetic, electrical, gravity, radioactivity, and geothermal methods. Emphasizes geophysical methods applied to such problems as energy resources, mineral and groundwater exploration, site evaluation, and pollution detection. Includes laboratory exercises and field investigations. Prerequisite: GEOL 101, 201, or permission of the department chairperson.
