EDSEC 580 - Principles of Teaching in the Secondary School.
Combines theory and practice of teaching at the secondary level. Includes the study of instructional strategies, evaluation, curriculum development and organization, learning styles, technology, legal issues, and classroom management. Intensive in-school assignments, observations, participation, and direct contact with adolescents required. Prerequisite: permission of the department chairperson. Parallel: EDJHM 585. Not open to students who have credit in EDSEC 380. Open only to secondary education students in good standing.
