Basic understanding of environments and planned activities that foster positive attitudes and interests related to reading, procedures that stimulate early literacy development, and related practical experiences with young children. Prerequisite: introductory course (EDEL 100 or EDSEC 150 or SPCED 201) with a C or better grade. May be repeated only once.
