CS 636 - Advanced Database Systems

Topics include knowledge representation and ontology concepts, object database concepts, database security and authorization, distributed databases, client-server architectures, Internet databases, and emerging database technologies and applications. Programming of both database techniques and application servers is based on current technologies such as ORACLE. Before enrolling, students should have taken CS 536 or a similar undergraduate database course.
