Before you decide upgrade to Microsoft Word 2007, consider how you currently use Word with the article editor toolbar in the Vignette Development center.

Office 2007 has been released and is available for installation on your Ball State computer, but Vignette editors who upgrade to Office 2007 will lose some functionality when adding or updating articles in the article editor.  

The Word option on the toolbar will be disabled because the editor does not work with Word 2007. Kyle Parker (UCS Group Leader/Systems Analyst) has been working with Microsoft and Ektron to find a solution for this problem. 

At this time, you have two options:

• Keep your current version of Microsoft Word (Office) until a solution is implemented or your account is migrated into the new content management system.

• Upgrade to Microsoft Word 2007 (Office 2007), use the article editor tools just like you do now but without the Word feature, and copy and paste existing Word text into the article body.
