For example, if a link to the contact person was needed, it would be linked like this: Contact Cheyanne Ritz for more information.
When you go to the profile listing, there is a place where the e-mail address can be retrieved. However, because of the special way this is set up, the e-mail address is protected from being harvested by spammers. This helps protect Ball State e-mail accounts.
How to get Profile listings and link to them
Use your Web site's page of profiles, such as the one for University Communications at www.bsu.edu/news/aboutur/staff/.
Once you find the listing you need, copy the link in the address bar.
Then log in to the CMS development center and go to the hyperlinks area. Create a new hyperlink using the link you copied.
Then you can add it to your article, or wherever else you may need to add it.
Why you should avoid linking to e-mail addresses
The Ball State Web site is set up so spammers can't get Ball State e-mail addresses. For more about how this is set up, check out this information from University Computing Services.
