Avoid Flash navigation. Flash can add great visual appeal to your site, so we are not saying don't use it. Just don't depend on Flash for your main navigation elements. Search engine crawlers, like Google, will ignore those links and the content behind them.
Do not have links to your internal pages popup in new windows. Search engine crawlers often ignore this type of link, thus not indexing content on those pages.
Get rid of duplicate content. Make sure you are not posting duplicate articles, or articles that are very similar with just minor changes. Google gives a poorer ranking to sites that do this.
