In
the last 10 years, I have taught Tai Chi Chuan style of meditation, self
defense, and physical exercise at Ball State University and local communities.
I enjoy teaching this art which has great potential for improvement of
individual health. I also have taught safety and self defense classes for
Ball State University and local communities. I enjoy to teach simple safety
points and techniques to students at Ball State University. I believe everybody
must be knowledgeable about the "do and don't" in our daily life which
can reduce our chance to be hurt.
Exercise is major part of my and my family's life. I enjoy a few times a week jogging and weight lifting. During year, I play tennis in the local double leagues tounaments. In the Summer I participate in some local and USTA tennis tournaments. I am 3.5 level tennis player in the USTA ranking which is an average level.
My wife helps me in teaching Tai Chi classes. My older daughter was a good high school tennis player. She sometimes plays with me tennis or does jogging and weight lifting. My younger daughter was a state level tennis player and played one year for Ball State's tennis team. She hurt her wrist and quit the tennis team. We sometimes do the weight lifting together. My two daughters and I hold black belts in Karate. The best thing is that in most cases I have someone in the family as partner in the sport activities. I will continue my contribution and participation in the sport activities with the believe that mental and physical activities can help build a happier and healthier society.
